Crockett Victorian Door
Crockett, 2020

The nine-light Victorian front door of a Crockett home had a problem its owners couldn't ignore: the eight surrounding panels — dark blue wheel-cut starburst squares at the corners, a pressed glass pattern along the sides and top — belonged to an entirely different design vocabulary than the ornate Art Nouveau floral medallion at the center. The commission was to make the door look unified.

Eight new panels were fabricated using Lambert's antique glass — the same mouth-blown material used in period originals — with custom pink rondels designed to complement the center panel. A few cracked pieces in the original center light were replaced in the same pass. The overall look of the door now feels unified.
